The In Bloom Psychology website provides the entry point for intake to book a therapy appointment. Please note we are not an emergency or crisis service. For the purposes of screening and arranging an appointment, In Bloom psychology collect relevant personal information, such as name, contact details, relevant psychological history, needs, referral information and next of kin, and other relevant information. Website google analytics are used to measure website performance. The collection of information is consistent with the AHPRA code of conducts, APS ethical guidelines, Health Records Act and Privacy Act.

Information is stored in a secure electronic document management system.

We are committed to keeping your information safe from unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure and use robust secure measures. Please note that data exchange is at your own risk, as we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted to or from us. If you wish to access your information, or wish to give us feedback about our service, please let us know and more information can be provided.

All personal information gathered by the psychologist during the provision of the psychological service will remain confidential except when:

  • There is reasonable belief that there may be serious risk to the life, health, or safety of yourself or others

  • It is subpoenaed by court, or disclosure is otherwise required or authorized by law

  • Your prior approval has been obtained to discuss this material with another person, for example a parent or lawyer

  • Your prior approval has been obtained to provide a written report to another professional agency, for example a GP or a lawyer

  • De-identified information may be discussed during supervision

Your personal information is not disclosed, unless you consent or such disclosure is otherwise required by law. Your personal information will not be used, sold, rented or disclosed for any other purpose.
